Mariella Muvira - Marketing Intern

I’m Mariella Muvira and I’m a 25-year old international student at HEC. I’ll be joining the Andaman7 team as a marketing intern for about 10 months. I’m currently pursuing a 2-year Master degree in Social Enterprise Management and it’s been a blast so far...

Before relocating to Liege last year, I had been living in Winnipeg (Canada) for 6 years. I moved there after high school to attend the University of Winnipeg where I graduated with a 4-year Bachelor degree in Business Admin. I double majored in International Business and Marketing. I worked in retail for 5 years at various organizational levels, and it was all about making money and reaching financial goals… I found out pretty quickly that I couldn’t do that for the rest of my life which is why when I decided to go back to school, I took a different path I like to call “Social Business”.

Personality wise, I’m on the shy side (at least at the beginning) so I’ve been told. I’ll let you be the judge of that :) 

When I’m working, I tend to be in my little bubble so don’t hesitate to snap me out of it if need be.

Hobby wise, I love travelling probably because I moved around quite a bit growing up. And there’s nothing I enjoy more in life than discovering new sights, cultures and interests. I also love photography, there’s something about being able to capture a particular moment in time and make it last forever that fascinates me. Probably because a moment by definition is naturally fleeting and a photo allows you to defy nature :) So if anyone needs to redecorate their office, you know who to call :D
