We won the Agoria Mobile e-Health Award 2016!

03.06.2016 by Jeremy Bachelet

Good news keep coming in! So we need to share them with you guys!

Yesterday took place the 2016 Agoria eHealth Awards. Every year, hospitals, retirement homes, mutuals, universities, public authorities, as well as companies and industrial actors (sometimes via collaboration with the healthcare secteur), are invited to introduce their ICT projects. An independent jury (no industry representative) is then invited to select the best projects according to predefined criteria (such as the innovative potential, the reusability of the project, the impact on the processes, the medical return, the aspects of mobility, etc.).

Our CEO, Vincent Keunen, and COO attended the event, and they weren't disappointed... Because we won the award for the Mobile Health category! This award rewarding the best mobile e-health project in Belgium  was given out by Agoria, the federation of all Belgian companies, in front of key actors from the health sector (the main hospitals of Belgium were present at the ceremony).

What an honor, right?! The Agoria eHealth Award for Best Mobile Project of the Year rewards an innovative project and / or a project that uses the latest technological innovations and that highlights the aspects of mobility. This category is open to industrial actors (like Andaman7), with or without collaboration with the healthcare sector. Collaboration is nevertheless a plus (which we actually scored a few months later by achieving our first connection with a Belgian hospital).

This is such a big deal for us, and we are really proud of this award. We have already placed it in our lobby for everyone to see :) It's a great incentive for us to keep on going with our project and keep working hard to bring mobile access to health information to the world!
